MOVING TO ITALY
Our Brighton Renovation is Complete – next step Italy
As you know we have been working flat out for the last month at our Brighton renovation and at last we have finished!
The renovation in Brighton QLD, Australia is done and dusted and we are just recouping before the move back to Italy.
As we are in some disarray I have only these links to share with you, they hold our hopes and dreams.
We must sell quickly to get back to Italy in time to finalize the house in Veravo. Please cross your fingers for us, I know someone will come along who loves the house as much as I do. She is an elderly lady but one with lots of style, I felt like we were just giving her back her dignity with each brushstroke.
I am planning to spend some serious time being pampered next week, we have burned all our renovating clothes.
Full speed ahead, no let up until we are settled in our camper van on the outskirts of Veravo.
and the gang x
Hi LIsa! I live in Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. We have a tiny “ranchito” where we raise chickens, some turkeys and two pigs. They are simply for food for ourselves and our kids and neighbors. We try to grow some vege, too, but at 7,150 feet elevation it’s not easy. We are planning to buy a greenhouse. Hope you sell your house soon and that your plans come to fruition. I will be reading and maybe I can get my hubby to comment. He doesn’t read any blogs but he does do Facebook, which I refuse to do.
Hi Caterina, sounds like paradise! What a wonderful life, self sufficient and in such a beautiful setting as well. You must be up in the clouds at that elevation, growing anything would be tricky? Is your background Spanish? How did you learn the language? We are not having any luck with the house sale as yet, we have to sell by a certain time or loose the deposit on the house in Italy arrrghhh! Tell your hubby to come friend me or visit the Facebook Renovating Italy page, ciao for now
Lisa
Wow! I just found your blog while reading, reading, reading, about (hmmm…..which country? Spain, (because I speak Espanol) France or Italy? Which country do I find most intriguing?
You are very courageous to do all that. Thank heavens you have a seemingly cheerful and agreeable hubby! I am going to show his video to my hubby and it will be very interesting to hear what he says. BTW, we have never actually traveled to any of those countries but we’re working up to it. I’ll be back!
Hi Caterina, I often come across a Blog I just love totally by chance. My cheerful and agreeable hubby has his moments but we mostly work well together. This is the hard part waiting to sell, especially as the market is low at the moment. We have to get the right price to finance the trip, paying the balance on the house in Veravo and a camper to live in while we start the renovations. Very tense here, I know things will work out! Where are you based? Perhaps your first journey will be to Europe? Hope so, a vino on the terrace sounds wonderful. ciao for now Lisa
PS Say hi to your Hubby, mine thinks there are not enough males on our site…..
